I will not rent equipment from Nelson again. I'm a former sound engineer and music producer. We recently rented microphones from Nelson for a small local children's theater group. Out-of-the-box, 2 mics didn't work correctly. I was able to get 1 working well enough to use. The other was completely unusable. When I returned the mics and brought up the fact that the mic was unusable, I was told that we had broken it and I had signed an agreement stating that the mic was in working condition when I rented it. We are now being asked to pay for the mic ($300) and have been threatened with a law suit if we do not. Unbelievable. I thought it was bad enough that we couldn't use the equipment.
